Police seized his gun, cash and truck for civil forfeiture alleging that the NFL player had made his money from dealing marijuana, not from his multi-million dollar career in the NFL.
Although he had just returned from the playoffs 3 days before and the cash was sealed in bank bags from his bank where he cashed his NFL paycheck, the judge agreed with police. This sparked a 10 month legal battle where the Rush team didn’t give an inch and won it all back.
This month the police department finally dropped their lawsuit, returning the client’s 2015 truck, his handgun, and the $190,028.81 in cash.
Complete victory for the Rush team and a Merry Christmas for our client, who is back in Green Bay as their defensive tackle.
