Biography

Mr. Frisco joined us in 2018 after serving eleven years as an assistant state attorney.  He represents criminal clients in Alachua county.

Prior to becoming an associate attorney at the Rush Law Firm, Mr. Frisco worked as an Assistant State Attorney for over a decade in Alachua County and the Eighth Judicial Circuit. As a prosecutor, Mr. Frisco handled hundreds-of-thousands of criminal cases for the State that involved everything from basic misdemeanor and traffic charges to complex felony charges. Through the years, he has become especially experienced at handling criminal traffic offenses including Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and crashes involving property damage, serious injuries, and fatalities. He has also become substantially skilled at handling criminal appeals and serious felony charges to include Burglary, Robbery, various sex crimes, crimes involving violence, theft charges, felony traffic offenses, drug offenses, trafficking offenses, domestic battery cases, and numerous other serious criminal offenses.

As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Frisco also developed hundreds of professional and personal relationships with prosecutors, staff members at the Office of the State Attorney, county and circuit court judges, clerks, court staff and security, other lawyers around the community, and law enforcement officers from all law enforcement agencies in and around the Eighth Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Frisco has been a guest speaker and lecturer on numerous occasions at the University of Central Florida, the University of Florida, and the Institute of Public Safety at Santa Fe College. He has also been a guest lecturer and trained law enforcement officers at many local law enforcement agencies including the Gainesville Police Department, the University of Florida Police Department, the Alachua Police Department, the High Springs Police Department, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Highway Patrol. Mr. Frisco has also completed advanced training in the areas of criminal and civil litigation, courtroom technology; courtroom etiquette; attorney professionalism; crime scene forensics and evidence retention; domestic violence; the nuances of litigating Driving Under the Influence cases; arson investigations; human trafficking; sex crimes; juvenile offenses; animal cruelty cases; drug offense and gang crimes; mental health and addiction training; training related to the many services offered through the court system in Alachua County; and he has in-depth knowledge of the diversionary programs offered to many defendants in Alachua County such as the Alachua County SAO DUI Deferment Program, felony Pretrial Intervention agreements, Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veteran’s Court.

A Gainesville native, Mr. Frisco attended college at the University of Central Florida where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management. After completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Frisco was awarded a scholarship to attend the Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville where he completed his legal studies. While studying law at FCSL, Mr. Frisco volunteered with many organizations around Duval County, competed around the country with the FCSL Mock Trial Team, worked as a law clerk for a prominent Personal Injury and Auto Accident firm in Jacksonville, and he interned as a Certified Legal Intern with the Office of the Public Defender.

Mr. Frisco enjoys giving back to the local legal community and currently volunteers as a trial coach with the University of Florida Mock Trial Team. He assists students with preparation for trial competitions by teaching trial strategy, courtroom etiquette, and proper trial techniques.
